Blue Barn Quilt Co. is owned and operated by me, Linda Timms. I was born and raised a city girl but it was a dream of mine as a young girl to move to the country. Our family lives about 30 minutes west of Edmonton, Alberta by the North Saskatchewan River. And yes, we do have 2 blue barns on our beautiful farm!
I have been a quilter for over 25 years. What started out as wanting to make only one quilt has become a passion (obsession, depending on who you ask!) of mine.
I am wife to the talented builder of our brand new timber frame Shop (with lots of help from our kids!), mom to 4 wonderful grown up kids and Oma to my 2 (soon to be 3!) grandsons.
I bought my longarm quilting machine in the winter of 2016 and have really enjoyed being able to finish up a lot my own quilts. I now have a regular supply of Quilts that I help others finish too!
It is a blessing and joy to have quilting as such an integral part of my life. I have taught many family members and friends how to quilt over the years. Many hours have been spent learning with a wide variety of talented teachers like Angela Walters, Karen K Stone, Victoria Findlay Wolf, Jennifer Sampou, Carolina Oneto, Krista Hennebury, Tamara Kate, Tara Faughnan, and the list goes on!! I love to learn and am always seeking new opportunities to expand my knowledge.
