For the classical story, the Liberty Fabrics team selected the prints that have become paradigms of particular styles of Liberty London prints. Tana Lawn cotton has a unique print quality and colour absorption that is second to none, with a  distinctive hand-feel and translucent softness that ensures it remains a versatile favourite.

Le Temps Viendra was inspired by the Elizabethan focus for surface decoration – especially in the form of embroidery. The design depicts a floral, complex pattern popular on women’s waistcoats seen in the artwork of miniature artists like Nicholas Hillard who took particular pleasure in depicting the small details of surface pattern within paintings. The design of this Liberty Fabrics print was hand drawn and then painted with water colour.
