Gathering Wildflowers quilt is a 53 3/4″ x 57 1/2″ quilt that is great as a lap quilt or wall quilt. It showcases a grand width-of-fabric print in bands across the quilt with rows of flower quilt blocks above and below. If you wanted this quilt smaller with no outer borders it would measure 41 3/4″ x 45 1/2″.

You need 2/3 yard of a big focal print, 7 fat quarters (or 7 regular quarter yard cuts are fine too) and 2 3/4 Yards of background fabric to make the quilt top.

Traditional patchwork piecing, half square triangles, flying geese and ‘stitch and flip’ corners are used.
