Getting Started (2 hours) • Review the pattern(s). • Organizing a large applique project. • Discuss fabric requirements. • Look at templates. All the patterns listed below have: o downloadable template file (purchased separately) o downloadable color chart (purchased separately) • Homework – collect fabric, cut out templates for the block you’re working on (time – 1 month)

Tackling the Complex (4 hours) • Come to class with prepared templates and fabrics for their block. • Work together on turning edges with specific emphasis on complicated shapes. • Homework – prepare the fabric shapes for layering (time – 1 month). • Discuss inking

Bringing it Together (4 hours) • Arrive at class with all shapes prepared. • Work on layering “fabric” units. • Begin the stitching process.
